The Ionovation Thermomaster is primarily an add-on to the Ionovation Explorer or the Ionovation Scout. It enables the user to control the temperature inside the bilayer chamber without introducing additional electrical noise to the electrophysiological data. The temperature data is logged as a trace in parallel to the current and voltage traces. Each electrophysiological data-point relates exactly to a temperature value taken from inside the bilayer chamber. The Ionovation Thermomaster can also be used as standalone device to heat or cool any chamber / microscope stage. This operation mode does not require an electrophysiology amplifier.
